So saying they "can't" have something just for the sake of it is disingenuous. Especially in a world as sporadic and ingenuitive as this one. They´d field less cavalry than say the Kurgan, Hell Cannons might also be quite hard to come by because how far away they from the Chaos Dwarfs.Įscrito originalmente por ubermensch:Why not? In all honesty why can't they get some baseline unit to fill in the role for that function? Just cause your gonna screech about the lore? I don't find that the end all and be all of a game that prioritizes strategy and the use of units in the best way possible. They are more of a distinct cultural group within the wider "Warriors of Chaos" (who are not majorly armoured chaos warriors and chosen, those are actually quite rare).

Well I guess CA wanted to make them quite distinct from Warriors of Chaos. They don´t have know how or logisitics to build something as effective as empire cannons and the stuff they could build is useless to them.Īs for why they don´t have Hell Cannons. And in battle they want to impress the gods and achieve personal glory, you´re not gonna do that manning a catapult. And what would they use it for anyways?Ĭatapults and Ballistae are pretty much useless against the thick walls of Kislevite or Empire cities. Their land also isn´t very suitable for dragging artillery around. They come by boat and raid coasts and if they don´t, they usually join up with a larger chaos war host. Norscans don´t have artillery, generally speaking, because they have no use for it. Pretty sure ammo supplies don't matter in the scheme of things.

How does any army in this game replenish artillery ammo? You're marching hard with 16 cannons or hellfire rocket batteries, deplete all your ammo in one battle, win. For example, even horses and dogs can be gun-shy and near useless for even something as simple as hunting, let alone effective use in a war zone.Īs for ammo. Proper care and training is pretty huge for any animal to do well in any field of training. Just to play devils advocate here, regarding two things.Īnimals bred for war are far more involved than 'lead it in the right direction.'. I will agree that they should have a mechanic where they should be able to steal artillery from enemy armies after battle, then use said artillery (with reload/accuracy penalties) until the ammo runs out (since they wouldn’t have the infrastructure to make and move it once it runs out). Mammoths are a pain because they’re large but you just need some dude to poke them in the right direction and you’re golden. Thanks man, I'm actually going to start that all now.Escrito originalmente por Ben Argo:Well made artillery needs engineers, logistical support, and maintenance. His buffs will straight up break the game for them. For Throgg it gets kinda boring but seriously only bring Firmir, Trolls, and some Wyrms.

Throw in a tough shield wall of Marauder Champions, some Armored Skin Wolves bringing up the Flanks, splash in one or two ice wolves or wyrms to bring the frostbite on each flank, and presto. Late game you could seriously field four mammoths right alongside Wulfric on his own and it's still not overkill. Your economy is built on the backs of what other people built so don't ever have anyone sitting idle.Īs for stacks, Wulfric does exceptionally well with a mix of the various marauder type units, mammoths, and wolves. They're usually asking for an ass kicking. Take your stacks and if Kislev is a rock solid fortress, sail down the coast to Brettonia. Norsca has incredible garrison armies, so no need to field a massive defense force. Unfortunately, Kislev is fielding fully garrisoned, walled towns, with multiple full stacks running around all over the place. I unified the north, built as many +raid and -upkeep buildings as I could, and managed to field right around two full stacks. The economy is rough as all get out, so far.
